We had the pleasure of receiving Raphaël Vullierme, former CEO and co-founder of Luko.
In 2016, Raphaël Vullierme founded Luko la New home insurance.
But before becoming so big, Luko did not have the same ambition. It was a company monitoring household water and energy consumption, which also made it possible to avoid domestic disasters. The solution was offered to insurers who sold them to consumers.
Luko's idea was then born out of the desire to protect consumers by metamorphosing the traditional insurance system. Their mantra was transparency and the will to put an end to conflicts of interest between insurers and policyholders.
Luko Is an insurance that offers an experience 100% digital, making it possible to facilitate interactions: modify guarantees, download a certificate, report a claim, or contact a craftsman.
Raphaël shared with us his feelings about its growth management (from the first 500 customers to 450,000) until the crisis management. Indeed, Luko was sold for 4.3 million euros to Allianz in 2024 after long adventures, highly publicized.
raphael, a witness of resilience, is however able to take a step back from the various obstacles and shared with us the various lessons to be drawn from them.
